The presentation “Collaboration Across Centers – The New York Experience” by Dr. Emile Bacha was delivered at the European Congenital Heart Surgeons Association Meeting May 22-24, 2025 in Munich, as part of a high-level scientific program with a special focus on Ebstein Disease. In this context, Dr. Bacha shared valuable insights into the process and impact of centralizing congenital heart surgery services within the NewYork-Presbyterian healthcare system, specifically at CUIMC/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. His talk provided a compelling example of how collaborative efforts and institutional restructuring can lead to significant improvements in the care of patients with complex congenital heart conditions.
